Ubuntu Linux + Win$ XP... a little help...

Gud day mga pipol!!!

I need help regarding my dilemma:
I'm planning to install Win$ XP and Ubuntu Linux. Which OS will i install first? how will i make it to dual boot so that it will recognize each OS? forgive the ignorance people and thanks a lot in advance.

ok got it. i did that pero mu error na siya inig select nako sa WinXP boot. unsaon ni? sa Ubuntu rako maka boot, pero naa gihapon prompt w/c OS to boot, pero sa XP mu error cya den restart dayon.

ang kanang pag choose nimo if windows bah or linux bah ang imo boot it already serves as boot manager ... they call it grub

@Marvin: ang error msg tol kay sa win$ XP naman. mu gawas ang boot page sa XP pero dili cya ka detect sa sunod process, mukalit lang ug restart.

yep mao na diay to katong graphical ra. pero inig choose nako sa XP, didto ra kutob after sa bootskin/boot process. i think i messed it up somewhere. i'll check it nya. thanks!

by the way bay, i received my Ubuntu CD's yesterday from their site.

bai, kung mo install ka dual OS you must have at least 2 partitions. 1 part for linux (aside from d swap space) and 1 for windows. instal nmo daan ang windows den test nmo if ok ang windows. pa boot nasad ka cdrom sa ubuntu para instol den choose ka unsa nga Os imo default mo boot. mas maau imo butang ang boot loader sa linux partition kai kung mo crash imo windows (or mbr), usab ka instol tanan. tagsa ra kaau mo crash ang linux. i hope this helps maski gamai lang..

OT: thanks kaayo bai sa help. i already have 2 partitions in my HD ug sa tan-aw nako ni crash gyud ang windows kay didto nako nabutang ang boot loader sa linux.
dako kaayo ni nga tabang brad....
