    wa ko kasabot ani.. (just being honest to my self.. ehehhe)

    does it has any effects on performance/speed?? i THINK pwede man board nako until pc 400 tingali.. but the sticker in the ram im using now is PC 2700.. is this PC 2700 also diff from those pc266, pc333, pc400??

    Default RAM QUESTION: pc-266, pc-333 etc.. im using pc2700

    266, 333, 400 means the speed that they are running on. PC2700, PC3200, etc represents their theoretical bandwidth... and yes, the higher the number the faster the speed or performance but your chipset must support its rated speed.

    "theoretical bandwidth" -->
    so this is diff from the pc266, pc333, pc400 or its teh same but its the bandwidth of the ram.. let me say.. as the sticker in my ram says: pc2700, it could also be pc400 as well?? the speed is pc400 but the abndwidth is pc2700?? is my contentions correct?? or its all for the speed/performance, like the one im using now which is pc2700 is way faster than pc400??

    hmmnn.. im confused.. but thatnk master beor for the enlightenment..

    Default RAM QUESTION: pc-266, pc-333 etc.. im using pc2700

    "DDR-333 is equivalent to PC2700, DDR-400 = PC3200 " --> its multiplied by "8"

    333 x 8 = 2664
    400 x 8 = 3200

    is my contetions correct.. i can see the light now.

    very great help!!!

    PCxxxx / 8 = DDRxxx (Nearest Ram Speed)

    sample

    PC3200 = DDR400
    PC2700 = DDR333
    PC2100 = DDR266

    PC? = DDR?

    the concept is the same as expressing your 1 peso into cents:
    100,00cents = 1000pesos

    PC? is expressed in bits (binary digit) while DDR in byte (binary term)

    the "pc" represents clock speed of ram, while the higher number represents bandwidth.
