Hello missy. Just read your post. My usual routine here is to post some of my crappy shots and vamos. But since I am so bored today, I had the chance to backread some of the posts here. I do not agree when you say film photography is dead. Actually, the only thng "dead" here is your idea of being film photography as dead. In film photography you are only given 12, 24 or 36 shots per roll and with that, you have to take your time carefully to compose your framing, exposure and other aspects to have a great shot. Every click of the shutter button must count. With that said, it is the very essence of photography. Value every shot and do not take your shots for granted like in digital photography. As long as there are still people, even for just a very small fraction, who still believes in those principles, then, film photography is still very much alive.
Now, when you say film photography as " artsy artsy, hipster crap, char char nonsense, well, you are wrong. FYI, that is instagram you are talking about.
