From my mom: Sometimes you have to step back in order to move forward.

The sacrifices you make are not permanent. Things will get better. Trust in your judgment.

My papa always says, "Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom."

My mama says, "When it comes to faith, thinking is important, but not as much as believing, not as much as feeling."

From my grandpa during his visit at my place at work:
"Don't you ever get tired, keep on going."

    To my grandpa:
Thank you, I understand what you mean and I keep it in my heart. I miss you

    From my father on people:
Trust people to be people. Don't expect anything from them unless you pay them to do something.

From my cousin Jay Cool on why he isn't married:
I'm not afraid of commitment; I just don't want it.

From my Uncle Joey, forever kolokoy:
If you are going to get involved, be involved with a woman who's pretty and sexy and hot enough to be worth the hassle. Because trust me, generally women are not worth the hassle.

When my nephew was asked unsa iya type nga gf," Bahalag gwapa basta dato" bad bad bad

My good friend once said " Mas bali pa wlay trabaho ma asawa sa akong anak kaysa magkugos kog apo nawng onggoy"

I actually overheard my brother saying this years years ago during a drinking session " Thou shall not covet thy neighbors wife, But if thy
neighbors wife covets you...THOU SHALL NOT REFUSE"

    I like this one...

    Anyway, my father told me:
"Maski unsang chismis inyung madungong, ang tan-awa ang akong nabuhat sa inyung mag-igsoon. I've given you a great life."

Lesson learned, whatever rumor that goes out, ignore them and just do you best.

What I believe and constantly practice:

Never let a day pass without letting a family member know how much he or she is appreciated or valuable in one's life.

There is no greater affirmation of being or token of esteem/appreciation other than that which comes from one's own flesh and blood.
