nganu libog man bro? joe johnson is an elite shooting guard, he can score at will. gerald wallace is not much of an offensive weapon but he's a pretty good defender at sf. with a healthy brook lopez, nets is a playoff team. remember they still have brooks who can provide instant offense off the bench and humphries who is a pretty good rebounder.

libog lang why they would get a 20+M a year player in jj, and overpay gwallace 10M a year then they have to give dwilliams a max contract pa. dhoward already announced to everyone that he wants to go to brooklyn but the nets effectively took themselves out of the dhoward sweepstakes. i'd rather have dhoward on my team than jj and crash combined.

basically signing g. wallace is their first step of persuading d.will to stay and sign the max contract worth 100M USD for 5 years. then there's the howard plan but i think magic is not high on the price nets has to offer. the johnson signing i believe is their plan b, next to howard. to sum it up, the nets is trying to do everything they possibly could to prove their commitment to d.will.
