Bisan kanang gabenefit karon like the importers, short term ra na. Coz in the long run, there would be lower demands. mugamay man ang purchasing power. Muhinay sab ang demand sa real estate, electronics, appliances and other commodities.

Import sector does not generate employment. Export sector does. Saka ning unemployment rate. Then pun an pa daghang ofws muundang. Just imagine lower demand for work and increase supply of workers....patay. Economic Doomsday for the Filipinos.

when i read the news today that US$ is testing the PhP43 barrier, i remembered then former Arroyo adviser Joey Salceda because he is the only soul brave enough in 2006 to predict that $ to PhP exchange rate would hover within 41 to 43 range in December 2007 and at that time the peso is around 49 to 50. Everybody was projecting the peso to move within 48 to 52 range which my other biz friends believe. I believe otherwise and fearlessly bet with Joey Salceda in mind..... Hhhhhmmmm it looks like Joey's prediction is well within target hehehehe
