Mitsubishi montero = the design not so good, mitsubishi engines are not so good. I had bad experience with my Galant before. I spend a lot on the maintenance and the engine keeps on overheating. Well the montero has not yet been test in the market, we will give it a chance.

Toyota Fortuner = not so good ride. performance and looks are good.
Since my family is planning to buy a Fortuner (we are waiting for the new look). Since you said the ride is not that nice. I will take into consideration in buying the Hyundai Sta. Fe. After all this is my second choice.

i like the montero kay parehas ug atubangan sa amo strada...hehehe mas dako sad ni tan-awon considering na dagko na daan ug tires and rims... im sure kusog sad ni mubulhot just like the sa strada sa ako bro... 2.5 palang gani to...

I would never pick a Hyundai over a Toyota... even a Mitsubishi. Korean cars are still behind the Japanese bisag pila pa ka tuig na ilang warranty i-hatag.

I looked up sa engine sa Montero ug Fortuner, preha ramag output ang duha bisag mas dako dako ug displacement ang Montero. For a 3.2 engine, murag hinay mag output (165 HP). Ang 3.0 sa Fortuner has a 163 HP output. To put into perspective akong sakyanan which has a 3.5 Liter engine puts out 240 Horsepower.

Anyhow...a 2 HP advantage wouldn't be enough to leave the other one in the dust.

@ EZRA: hmmm natinga sad ko why people at tsikot.com naka abot ang 2.5 strada nila ug 170kph nya ang fortuner 3.0 kay 180 ra limit, i have not tested it lisud sad sa srp kay naay liko2x matuwad nya ko hehehe dali ra rba mabalintong ning mga suvs & pickups sa toyota.. pero naay video sa youtube... you can see it at youtube by the way ang sa strada kay going up pa ang speed pero murag nasuko ang wife mao wa na nya pakusgi while ang fort nana sawg iya accelerator

i'll never buy toyota again after my experience anyway nindot man ang experience namo sa mitsubishi very reliable suvs and pick-ups

about chosing KIA over Toyota hmmm i wouldn't mind basi nindot d.i. ning KIA hehehe and besides nag dali dali nakog dispose sa fortuner so gi-trade nalang nako sa KIA.

@ Kenny_Tiu: yup, sa looks pareha ta since nindot man sad ang fortuner no doubt about that... yup nindot gyud

diri sa mandaue alone pag visit nako one agent naa nay 5 ka reservation ika 6th na ang sa akoa dad, pero sa cagayan na nya kuhaon hehehe sayang di ko ka pahimulos maski 1 day lang hehehe

about the price mas mahal gamay sa fortuner pero gamay ra diperensya... ang GLS was about 1.7kapin pero napa nuon discount 80k nahug ug almost the same ra gyud sila hehehe

I looked up the specs sa 2.5 nga Strada - with only 136HP to put out - tingalig nag utong nana sa 170kph (I think that's roughly 105 or 106 mph, right?).
Anyhow, you don't really need your vehicle to go that fast, diba? gagmay baya mga dan diha, mga taw taka pag drive nya mga pedestrians taka lag labang.
As for KIA ... same as Hyundai, ni saka nasab ilang quality/craftsmanship pero I don't think they're at PAR with the Japanese carmakers. Not yet anyways.

somebody told me na ang Fortuner if i change lang daw iya springs sa luyo mo nindot na daw iya ride.

Can anyone confirm on this? Has anyone tried to change the springs and felt the improve softer ride?

    @bostonfan
I changed the front and rear shock with old man emu na shock and coil spring sa Tri-J . Ni taas na our fortuner and also the ride mas solid na. Dili na murag barko iyang ride. Stiff man ang ride kay old man emu na shock akong gi taod is for extreme of road man. I just want to get back the feeling while driving a pajero but it seems like dili gyud ma pareha with the fortuner.
