i understand that we as humans needs a purpose, or motivation to do something. but what is the purpose of our purpose? maybe im just being nihilistic here and stuff but as far as i've observe, the purpose of my purpose is just because "i want to" no real reason no real motivation or no real 'reward' in the end.
    Well Hell needs heroes too!

what is the purpose of purpose? that is happiness. why do you want to glorify god - happiness. why do you want to live your life to the fullest? - happiness. why do you want to die for country? - happiness. whether your an atheist, or a theist, or between the two, the end of an end is happiness.
you feel happy serving God, you feel happy wallowing in pleasure, you feel happy dying for country, you feel happy being apathetic. it all boils down to happiness.

the purpose of a purpose is happiness.

what if you're not happy? that defeats the purpose of the purpose.

Because I am a Christian, and as a follower of Christ I believe. Our purpose in life, as God originally created man, is 1) glorify God and enjoy fellowship with Him, 2) have good relationships with others, 3) work, and 4) have dominion over the earth. But with man's fall into sin, fellowship with God is broken, relationships with others are strained, work seems to always be frustrating, and man struggles to maintain any semblance of dominion over nature. Only by restoring fellowship with God, through faith in Jesus Christ, can purpose in life be rediscovered.

The purpose of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We glorify God by fearing and obeying Him, keeping our eyes on our future home in heaven, and knowing Him intimately. We enjoy God by following His purpose for our lives, which enables us to experience true and lasting joy—the abundant life that He desires for us.

    Mark 7:21-23
"For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

    Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
Solomon says that life is all about honoring God with our thoughts and lives and thus keeping His commandments, for one day we will stand before Him in judgment. Part of our purpose in life is to fear God and obey Him.

you do it because, that is; what is expected of you as a follower.
if you read your answer again that's only the purpose why you glorify god, but not 'the purpose of your purpose' if you get what i mean...

I am an obedient follower of my faith, and know and understand my true position and place within this universe. I have no need to second guess or question out of self doubt. I have contentment in my life and confidence in my choices. My spirit is balanced, my third eye is aware and not dimmed, and my soul is prepared and feels a true sense of fulfillment.

i won't deny that faith can do wonderful things to a person. you were once an atheist, so once upon a time, you had questioned God's existence. what struck you so magically that it came to the point where you just decided that hey, God is true afterall?
