I'll start will very simple one.

How to Print Screen to a file on the desktop in Mac OS X

The basic functionality of taking a screen capture of a window or desktop in Mac OS X takes an image and dumps it to a file on the Mac desktop. Each uses the pressing of Command and Shift keys concurrently as the basis for execution, followed by a number:

Command+Shift+3: takes a screenshot of the full screen (or screens if multiple monitors), and save it as a file to the desktop
Command+Shift+4: brings up a selection box so you can specify an area to take a screenshot of, then save it as a file to the desktop
Command+Shift+4, then spacebar, then click a window: takes a screenshot of a window only and saves it as a file to the desktop

    well good for you bro...

    TO TOTALLY UNINSTALL THE APPLICATION

Drag and drop to trash is not enough. This will help to remove some remnants of app.

    * Launch Activity Monitor and change "My Processes" at the top to "All Processes", then make sure the app you want to remove is not running. If it is, quit the process before proceeding.
    * Launch Finder and search for the app name.
    * You can narrow the search to specific folders or search your whole Mac
    * Searching "File Name" vs "Contents" usually provides better results.
    * Click the + button below the search term to add criteria
    * Click the search criteria drop-down and select "Other...", then "System files"
    * Click the "don't include" and change to "include"
    * Sort by name, kind, date, etc. to identify components of the app, such as folders, .plist files, cache files. etc.
    * Delete all files and folders related to the app.
    * Don't empty your Trash until you've determined that everything is working OK, in case you need to restore something you deleted by accident.
    * A reboot might be necessary to completely remove some apps.

    APIL KO.

This is very important when your USB port is not working or any mac abnormalities.

    FOR MacBook Pro or Air

    • Shut down the computer.
    • Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
    • On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
    • Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
    • Press the power button to turn on the computer. Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter doesn’t change states or temporarily turn-off when you reset the SMC.

    MAC TIP

Exposé Command (this will give you a bird's eye view of all opened window in a specific app/program)

    - Go to System Preferences>Trackpad>More Gestures>tick Exposé (do this if expose is not set-up)
    - Four finger swipe down on the active window (this will view all windows on that program/app).
(e.g. Safari and you open multiple windows).

    OR

    - Place the pointer on the app icon placed on the Dock then Four finger swipe down
(this will view all windows on that program/app but not necessarily the active window).

Try it on safari app by opening multiple safari windows. Try it also with other apps.

    enjoy!
