Default BEST DJ Sound Set UP - CD and Software Technology

Thought Id check what guys have out there

Everything about DJing , Music , gadgets, technique , Share all ...

List down your best CD Player, Mixer, Software Tech and Hardware that plugs in to existing equipment, headphones and clear monitors.

This includes New music you love , old and current.

Updated: 1/31/09 - Since not a lot of people responded pa, thought id share my thoughts on some of the equipment im working with or want.

Allright, I Started this topic hoping to share with other DJ's thoughts and opinions on the hardware we are familiar with or use to give us better insight. So folks if you have a system of equipments that work for you share it

Heres an informal list and by all means comment or share your ideas

To start Djing you need these:

A Mixer - Currently id like to get my hands on Pioneers DJM800

    High Quality Audio
The analog signal from the player passes through the shortest signal route, first digitized at 24bit/96kHz through a pro A/D converter where it reaches the digital mixing stage with the best sound possible. The mixing is carried out by 32bit DSP with minimal deterioration of sound quality. A highly rigid chassis minimizes unnecessary vibration, which could adversely affect sound quality. The mixer also incorporates a dual-shield structure for eliminating entry of digital noise and a high performance power supply for noise-free power Plus more effects are placed in this baby.

Next you need CD players , this is where DVJ1000 comes in

It's here - the fully loaded DVJ-1000. Offering the same operation and layout as the CDJ-1000MK3, but with enhanced DVD specifications, the new deck allows DJs to easily create and add visuals to their sets.

Its core CDJ-1000MK3 capabilities are enhanced by several groundbreaking features, while DVD visuals can be manipulated as you would music; so digital video scratches, loops and instant cues are all possible.

DJs can perform audio-only sets while having the option to mix DVD with a powerful and versatile range of effects on hand. The best of both worlds.

The DVJ-1000 can be slotted into existing booth set-ups making it a logical purchase, fusing a high-quality CD deck with the future - where visual artistry is becoming commonplace.

Moving on to your headphones - I choose Technics

It has good clear solid base response and nice cuff that covers your ear comfortably

For Oldschool Dj's who love to spin with Vinyl - The " SL 1200's "

A piece of history that will never go away in this industry inspight most dj's using high bit rate music files, i still think Vinyl just feels different.

Then we have One of the most amazing piece of gadget - Serato Scratch Live

This gadget incorporates your music files in PC to work with actual touch gadgets on table like your CD players or Turntables using software and hardware.

Then When practicing or doing live gigs you'd want good sound monitors: love Digidesigns Studio Monitors

You'd want clear Base and high to come out to better infuse your music

Optional: Love to get my hands on the SepC1 - auto incorporating your PC into mixer and just mixing away

Control Pioneer’s DJ Software (DJS1) and Other PC Applications
The SEP-C1 includes Pioneer’s DJS all-in-one DJ software application for playback from a Windows based computer (PC not included). When connected to DJS, no mouse or keyboard is required for navigation and DJ performance. Furthermore, the SEP-C1 supports control of other software, such as SERATO Scratch LIVE2, without need of the control discs. The SEP-C1 is also a full MIDI controller for any MIDI-compatible PC application.

So folks place ur dream rig or what u have today and talk about it
