It is a delight that another Cebuano is eyeing for a slot at the Senate. Fellow Cebuano politicians like Mayor Junnie Martinez has expressed his full support for Garcia despite their different political parties. It is a good news for us Cebuanos that our elected leaders are willing to unite for the sake of our province's interest. By having another Cebuano at the Senate for sure Cebu would become a priority for future developments. I am urging everyone especially my fellow istoryans to support this cause because it could be one of our chance to have a better Cebu and besides Gwen will also be a proof that Cebuano women are also capable of leading.

I hope she wins. Cebu needs a senator in the way Iloilo has a Drilon. Serge Osmeña is a dismal failure as a cebuano. Why does he not aggressively lobby for projects para sa Cebu in the way Drilon does for Iloilo? Unsaon ta man nang flyover? Loso.
