Just wanted to share with you the first INTERCITY basketball league.

Teams -

Cebu City Nino's
Lapu Lapu City Chiefs
Bogo City Bogoys
Toledo City Dream Team
Talisay City Aqua Stars
Danao City

It is played in a home and away format with teams playing at each venue and teams playing each other twice (once at home and once away) in a double round robin format.

Prizes :
1st - 2 Million
2nd - 1.5 Million
3rd - 1 Million
4th - 500,000
5th - 250,000
6th - 250,000

The money is given in form of Financial assistance and Projects to the city. Funding is provided for from Senator Villar's Pork Barrel.

Players must be from the City they represent. Only 2 Ex varsity or Ex commercial players allowed per team.

Last night the Lapu lapu City Chiefs beat Danao by about 15 points. Tonight, the Lapu Lapu City Chiefs take on the Cebu City Nino's at the Lapu Lapu city basketball court at 8PM.

I will post the schedule once I get a copy of it.

It is very fun watching these teams as we cheer for our very own city sponsored teams.
